If it is possible for you I would suggest to plan a visit the first weekend of September. On sunday the 6th of September there will be a big flowerparade in Zundert, dedicated to the works of Vincent van Gogh. It’s a UNESCO protected flowerparade and in 2015 especially honored to Van Gogh.

“Theo was just 37 years old when he died on 30th July. Twenty of his acquaintances and artist friends attended his funeral here in Auvers.” you wrote under the picture of the graves. You probably meant “Vincent was just…”. Theo died on January 25th of 1891, 33 years old.

Imagine a life of no official recognition of his work: I think I would have gone mad too. I never made it to Zundert but my friend Michael Turtle did …( Time Travel Turtle) so that’s going to be a place I visit for the 2nd part of my pilgrimage.
